Buxhall Village Hall Little Ernie
The overall purpose of Buxhall Village Hall Little Ernie is to raise funds to improve facilities and generally maintain the fabric of Buxhall Village Hall for the use of the inhabitants of Buxhall and its neighbourhood thereby improving the conditions of life of the residents.
The Little Ernie Lottery has successfully raised much needed funds for the village hall for over 30 years. Monies have been used in three main ways: profits have contributed to the overall running and maintenance costs of the building; they have helped to maintain a contingency fund should anything major happen to the structure and its contents; and have assisted with new purchases for hall use.
Annual subscriptions are available at £6 per entry- with no limit imposed per household or per person - although all entrants must be over sixteen years of age. Each subscription received is allocated a number, and ten monthly draws (July to April) are held per year with three prizes, £30, £20 and £10 being awarded (prize levels are dependent on a subscription level of 200 participants). Winnings are doubled for the Grand Christmas draw in December. Winners are drawn monthly in public at a village event and announced in the Buxhall Broadcast. Prizes are paid by cheque and delivered directly to the winners.
