Buxhall Parish Council is an elected body whose primary function is to ensure that the Parish is efficiently and economically run and are funded by levying a "precept" collected from within the council tax paid by the residents of the parish.    

Parish, Town and Community Councils are the most direct form of democracy in England and Wales, being the first tier of local government as the first tier of local government

Parish councils are made up of Councillors who give their time freely and are elected to serve for four years. 

Buxhall Parish Council has seven seats filled by Buxhall residents who represent the community and have a statutory responsibility for certain aspects of the village.
